There’s something about eating breakfast in water that feels slightly unreal—in the best way. A floating tray piled with fruit, warm pastries, coffee, and little bowls of everything, while the pool stays perfectly still around you. It’s the kind of moment that makes time slow down, like your brain finally gets permission to stop rushing.

I love how travel changes the way you treat mornings. At home, breakfast can feel like a quick task you complete between responsibilities. On holiday, it becomes an event: you taste things properly, you talk more, you linger. Even the simplest bite feels different when the sun is on your skin and you’re not checking the clock every two minutes.

It also reminded me of something I keep learning over and over—rest isn’t something you earn after you’ve done enough. Sometimes you just need to let yourself have it. A slow morning, a beautiful setting, and a little softness built into the day. If I could bottle that feeling and bring it home, I would.
